Introduction

My name is Eman Aldhafiri , I am an international student from Saudi Arabia. I started my master degree in instructional Technology back in spring 2009.

This is my E-Portfolio, it will include four areas:

-Foundation

-Design and Development

- Research

-Technology skills

I choose a blog to present my E-Portfolio for the reason that this is one of the technology tools that I learned at this program.

Foundation:

When I was making my dissection to attend instructional technology program I was worried about the difficulty I am going to face especially because I don’t have a back ground in dealing with technology tools. I cant forget the first class that I took it was etec500 with dr. Newberry at the end of the first class I understand nothing. I came back home caring to my husband and I told him that I changed my mind and I can’t go on with the master in technology program. He told me that everything is hard at the beginnings I need to give myself a chance to try to understand this class. I know that I give dr. Newberry a hard time I ask him a lot of questions throw the class and by email too. Since I am an international student I face difficulty in language too. After a while I started to enjoy my time and loving learning how to use technology and I always told my friend and my husband about what I can do with it and I feel happy when I see them surprised in what I have learned. I learn a lot of things in this class such as how to create a website, upload pictures, change pictures size and using html language.

Design and Development:

ETEC 541 one of the e-Learning Design and Development classes. This class was little hard for me because I was in the last period of my pregnancy. When I view the goal and the objectives of this class I feel that it was impassible that I will be able to create an online course. But when we start it were structured peace-by-peace creating this course. In this class I learn how to design an online course and develop course Content Characteristics. Also I create some media for my online course and I learn how important it is to test them. I completed my course before 3 days I delver my baby boy.

Research:

I took many research classes in this program. I never done a research paper before, when I start learning how to do research paper and how to write it It was very hard for me. But class after class and research after research I find myself learned a lot from what I did. The research classes give me a lot of knowledge and improve my writing skills. Also I learn a lot of new things about the topic I am doing the research on.

Technology skills:

I enjoy learning new technologies throw all my classes. In each classes I learn a different kind of technology from the instructor and from the students too. I don’t know how to use technology in education and its sound to me difficult to add technology tools in education. But after I started my master degree I enjoyed learning many effective tools that can make the learning process more easier and practical.

In the end:

In the end I like to say that I came from a different country with different culture. At the beginning I worried how could I live in USA but spending more than four years of my life I am more worried of how I will go back to my country after three months.
